Skmei Water-Resistant Watches — Are They Suitable for Swimming? A Guide to Ratings and Models
Can you swim with a SKMEI watch? It depends on the specific model and manufacturer instructions. Do not assume every watch marked 50 metres supports the same activities.
What does the rating mean?
Ratings such as 3ATM and 5ATM describe pressure resistance under specified test conditions. They are not a safe operating depth. Movement, heat and seal condition affect protection.
Before exposing a watch to water
- Check the model number and its instructions.
- Follow the activities explicitly permitted for that model.
- If swimming suitability is unclear, contact us first.
- After the case is opened or the battery replaced, do not assume water resistance is unchanged without an appropriate check.
What to avoid
- Hot water, steam and saunas.
- Operating buttons or the crown underwater.
- Diving, jumping or high-pressure activities without explicit suitability.
- Submerging a watch as an authenticity test.
Choose for your activity
Compare readability, dimensions and materials alongside the model’s water-resistance instructions. For swimming or diving, choose a model whose manual permits that activity. Browse sports watches.
